Chief Executive Officer
Jay Minnick is CEO of Millwood Companies (MWC), a leading Salt Lake City-based, full-service building and development company. Since 1986, the company has developed more than 5,000 multi-family units valued at over $700 million. Jay is also President and CEO of the premier property management company in Utah, Millwood Management (MWM), providing quality housing for thousands of Utahans. The company’s portfolio comprises of 13 communities and more than 2,500 units across the Wasatch Front.
In his role as CEO of MWC, Jay is responsible for overseeing the financing, development, construction, lease-up, and long-term management of all MWC projects. Jay is charged with ensuring that projects are built within the budget, on time and with high quality workmanship.
Vice President of Property Management
As Vice President, Audrey Forward directs all operations for Milllwood Management, she has demonstrated strong leadership in working with our owned and third party properties. She brings 15 years’ experience in the industry and has worked in all capacities related to multi-family. Ms.Forward’s background includes oversight in new developments, affordable, market and active adult communities across Utah.
Chief Financial Officer
Jennifer Merrill is the Vice President of Finance and Accounting of the Millwood Companies. She has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting and over 15 years of experience with multifamily real estate. Since the inception of the Millwood Companies in 2001, Jennifer has been actively involved in strategic business planning for the group. Her main responsibilities are to oversee all aspects of corporate finance and to contribute in strategic business planning as an executive within the organization. She is heavily involved in structuring new construction deals and assisting with acquisitions and dispositions. As part of her responsibilities at the Millwood Companies, Jennifer oversaw the acquisitions and dispositions of a portfolio of assets held by Goldman Sachs, generating healthy returns for the portfolio.
She began her career with the Millwood Companies in 2001 after completing her undergraduate work in Business/Accounting at the University of Utah. While working with the Millwood Companies she went on to earn a Masters of Professional Accountancy from the University of Utah and later worked for Deloitte & Touche in Los Angeles, CA. Upon gaining valuable public accounting experience, she returned to the Millwood Companies to continue her career in real estate.
As Executive Assistant to the President/CEO, Cara Hicks is responsible for assisting with closing new construction loans, reviewing and approving subcontract agreements, coordinating work permits and city approvals, reviewing and approving subcontractor agreements, and working closely with our executive team. Cara has been involved in the construction and development of multiple large apartment projects. Cara joined Miller Development in 2011. Outside of work, Cara enjoys spending time with her family, serving in her church, hiking and boating.
Sierra Rogers joined Millwood Management in 2007. Starting from an entry level position at our Ogden location she quickly progressed to property manager where she grew for 9 years. Having managed over 9 communities within our portfolio, her experience ranges from extensive knowledge with Affordable Section 42 projects to leasing up some of Utah’s most luxurious multi-family developments. She recently joined the corporate leadership in 2016, helping in the day to day operations of each community, ensuring employee and owner satisfaction. Working for Millwood has enabled Sierra to build lasting relationships with the executive members, employees and residents through the vast resources and support teams.
Kyle Marostica is the Director of Maintenance for Millwood Management. He brings over 10 years of experience in maintenance, construction, and operations management. Kyle is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance needs of all Millwood Management properties. He manages and directs all maintenance staff and oversees all Millwood Management property inspections including: HUD inspections, lender inspections, and third party owner inspections.
IT Manager/ Director Of Marketing
Garreth Dickson is the Director of Marketing and IT Manager for Millwood Companies. He overseas marketing campaigns, web development, software, and all IT for all of Millwood properties. He brings 10 years of marketing experience and has consulted with some of the largest retailers in the United States. He holds a variety of certifications with Dell, E-Machines, & CompTIA. Garreth joined the Millwood team in 2015 and brings a wealth of expertise that helps keep Millwood Companies and their properties with the latest cutting edge technology.
